Everything Everywhere All At Once

dir. Dan Kwan & Daniel Scheinert (2022)

A remarkable film running the genre gamut from relationship drama to SF comedy to martial arts spectacular to epic romance, always with lashings of the outright bizarre. A little too weird in places but consistently funny and genuinely surprising. Art-house on steroids.

A sequel more for younger viewers. The highlights come not so much by way of the main characters but rather through Po’s goose father (James Hong), the soothsaying goat (Michelle Yeoh) and, most of all, the villainous peacock Lord Shen (Gary Oldman).
