The Hidden Life of Trees
by Peter Wohlleben; trans. Jane Billinghurst (Random House, 2016); audiobook read by Mike Grady (Bolinda, 2016)
An intrinsically very interesting foray into the way trees grow, live and evolve. Wohlleben explores different trees’ survival strategies and the complex ways in which they integrate with their environments. Unfortunately the audiobook takes treelike peacefulness to the point of being soporific.
